Unable to register for an online account

I'm unable to register for a my new virgin media account as it doesn't recognise my details

I see this is a common issue and telephone support are unable to help, and that Virgin Media employees on the forum have been able to rectify problems.

Please could I get help to resolve this issue thanks

    Is it giving you any error codes?

    Or is it just saying wrong details?

      Hi I'm having the same issue. Chat support team said it was a "website outage". For me the choose-password screen just hangs and then eventually returns to a blank form to choose password. During the hanging I get am email thanking me for registering for paperless billing!!!!

  • Hi, this might be useful for people: I resolved the problem creating the account. The form claimed it would accept the email used to order virgin or another one. Turns out it needed the email used to order virgin. I couldn't use that originally because it's already associated with another virgin account and isn't allowed on 2. I changed the email on the older account to free that email up and I was able the to create the new account using that email. Annoyingly I still have an issue because I'd like to change that email now the account exists but the email verification link virgin sends just directs to a "link has expired" page every time so my new account is kinda stuck - for now - using an email address I don't want it to have
