Unable to link My virgin media account to VM O2 ID

Hi, like others on this forum I have been unable to connect my virgin media account to my VM O2 ID, I keep getting an error that I have provided the wrong email address for my virgin media account even though I am typing the correct email address. Please can I have some help to resolve this?
