Unable to edit my account details
My recent attempts to contact VM by telephone have been unsuccessful because I was unaware what was meant by my "memorable word", which I don't recall ever been asked for in almost 15 years as a VM customer.
I now know that it needs to be set up in my Telephone Security Details, but I have been unable to do this. When trying to edit this field I was presented with a message informing me that I must first change the email address associated with my account to a non-VM one.
Although I don't understand why this should be necessary, I clicked the button and entered an alternative email address twice before then clicking Save. I was then informed that my new email must be verified before I could make any further changes; this would be affected by sending an email to the new address.
Unfortunately, several minutes later the verification email had still not arrived in my alternative email Inbox, so I tried it again but still without success. After waiting another hour, I tried it again, but 30 mins later the email still hasn't arrived.
Would someone please let me know how I can resolve this, enabling me to contact VM by phone again.
