Unable to complete SSO sign up for new VM account

Exactly the same issue as srodrigo above ... new customer ... using same e-mail I got my contract information from and when trying to link Virgin Media O2 ID it's saying "account is linked to an email address that's different to the one on your Virgin Media O2 ID" ... but it's the one I've signed up with and got my contract information through???
