Switch from SKY

When we had the guy knocking on the door ‘selling’ Virgin Media…he stated that with the package we discussed we would be able to pause devices when we wanted (trying to limit a teenage son a little) and the termination charges from Sky would be covered by Virgin Media. After numerous calls and messages sent to him I have not had a response. Anyone out there with similar issues and / or solution.

    Everyone at VM knows the Connect app can not pause Hub 5x devices.
    So they were as usual being unhelpful or incapable.

    You may be able to pause / block a MAC address via the Hub 5x menus.

    But what is the point?

    All mobiles / computers / game consoles etc support MAC Randomisation and this enabled the device to change MAC address on demand and to be working again in seconds.

    It might be better to focus on education of acceptable use.

    The only way to stop a device accessing wifi is to have it in your hand.
