Speed issues - 1Gbps connection

Morning All

Looking for a VM support rep to check logs and possibly arrange engineer visit if required

I've been getting 250Mbps Max speed most of Jan

done countless re-boots

Network log reveals something isn't happy:

      Hi mkershaw1982

Welcome back to the Community Forums.

Sorry to hear you're having issues with your service speed.

Checking the systems on our side we cannot see any issues within the area. We can see that our router is currently in modem mode, so we aren't able to run any further checks.

Can you please pinhole reset our router to factory settings and remove the third-party router from the network? After this, whilst our hub is in router mode, please check Sam Knows real speed here, and let us know what results you get.

You often get those ‘errors’ when the hub is rebooted and can be forgotten, they do not affect your service. Please post a full set of stats, details below:

How to get stats from a VM hub (no need to logon to the hub)

Open a web browser and go to 192.168.0.1 router mode or 192.168.100.1 modem mode

      • Click on the “> Check router status” button
      • Click on the “Downstream” tab, copy the text and paste into your reply, do not take a screen shot
      • Click on the “Upstream” tab, copy the text and paste into your reply
      • Click on the “Networking” tab, copy the text and paste into your reply.
        • Do NOT post photos or screen shots they will be rejected as they contain MAC addresses. The board software will automatically change MAC addresses to **:** if done as above.
  • Not really, that's very inconvenient to rip out my whole setup.

The network Log shows Sync issues between the network - nothing on my side of the modem.

To be able to run the checks on our side, we would need any third-party networking equipment to be removed from the setup. We cannot support third-party equipment.

Please let us know once you've done this, and we can take a look at the service and systems on our side.

Problem solved with a pinhole reset, 2 x power cycles and then placed back in modem mode.

Odd, but typical in past experience

still showing sync issues in network log but back up to ~800-1000Mbps
