so disappointed with moving cancellation
Im so disappointed with the service to try and cancel my VM package. I was told by my landlord that the property I rent was going up for sale on 29th July and it has been sold and I need to be out by 30th September. I took the VM package again in February as I had no inkling that this was going to happen.
Explaining on webchat to the first operator that I was moving in with my partner but didn't finish the conversation as over 1 hour later I was still no where near trying to solve this so ended the conversation as i needed to leave. I rang again and this time it took 2 hours 15 minutes to say if I left it would charge me £404!! I was moving into my partners flat which is a high rise and the council don't want external walls being touched but I didn't seem to be getting listened to, saying that VM was previously in this property that my Partner has lived in for 9 years so it could be transferred. The Flat is in my Partners name so Im not even on the tenancy and yet I have to transfer my services over when he already has his own services! My income is going down a lot so I asked for any way to be cheaper if i transferred it over but all I got was if i took another 18 month contract then it would be £91 a month. I currently pay £72 a month now so I feel like i was forced into a corner to carry on the contract at £72 as they weren't interested.
I just wish there was some form of protection for people who rent as it isn't our fault the house/flat goes up for sale so I feel very aggrieved by this and at the end of my contract I will never go with VM again as they really do not listen to what you are saying! as if I could afford the £404 to cancel!!
Just waiting for my next bill because I am expecting it to not be what I have agreed to with extra charges etc as no mention of transferring fees or moving charges so just waiting and then I will end the contract when it ends. Anyone else had this happen to them? 😞
