Renewed account: Your next bill will be ... It wasn't

Like many others, renewed my account before Christmas, agreeing to reduced services to cut costs. All went well, offered and accepted the same £64 deal that many others on here have mentioned. Got a very clear email saying this is what you've now got, this is what you've removed. All very clear. 

At the bottom of the email, highlighted in a red box, details of my new monthly bundle cost, and an explanation of what my transitional bill would be. 

Except when the transitional bill is issued, it's £50 more than they stated it would be. 

Looking online "View My Bill" there's no explanation of how they arrive at the package change credit, no way to check if it's correct or not. 

Why is everything so difficult with Virginmedia?

  • Unfortunately this is the same as with the 28.13% rise I got in the last mid-term pricing increase, and it was a clear breach of contract.

    Trying to resolve it, has been incredibly difficult and it looks like I will be taking Virgin Media to court, they also tell me I can't cancel because I have a complaint in progress...
