Renewed account for 2025 and netflix is standard with ads I want premium

Hello there.

I have just renewed my subscription for 2025.mega tv this includes Netflix with ads. My old account had the same but with premium netflix, I have tried to upgrade to premium without success, tries chat, spoken to netflix they are unable to resolve as VM control the account! Have spoken to a person within virgin and thay have told me the following. As the standard package allows only 2 devices with HD.   Login to a third device and netflix will ask you to upgrade to premium.  I have tried this and a message appears on device only 2 devices are allowed please logout of one.

There is no option to upgrade to premium. Any help would be grateful.

    Issue had been resolved!!!!!  VM removed netflix from subscription and reapplied. I was then able to upgrade to premium. So it was a VM issue

    My understanding is that since October 2024 when VM moved to "standard with ads" for their inclusive element, they no longer offer a "standard" without ads option.

    I have a recollection that in some previous threads, users have been advised to contact Netflix to - I presume - cover the difference. The PR from the time, states that "Customers have the option to upgrade to Netflix Standard or Netflix Premium should they wish to" - although I can't see any reference to how that upgrade is done.

    We're sorry to hear you're having issues with upgrading Netflix to the Premium option. This isn't something that can be done from our end as in order to upgrade, you need to agree to the additional charges. 

    If you've only just renewed, then the system will likely be working through the changes. You can log in directly to your Netflix account and this will advise the billing date for Netflix. It's worth trying to complete the upgrade to premium once your new billing period begins.
