Renewal Offer link doesn't work

I received an email that my contract is coming to an end and therefore my monthly price will increase dramatically. The email includes a link to a new offer but when I click it I get a page saying "oops!". So no idea that VM can offer me to stay.

This issue crops up on here over and over again. There could be a few possible explanations. Possibility no. 1: VM is hopelessly bad at creating web interfaces between its various departments and its customers (plenty of evidence on here for that). Possibility no. 2: VM plans this failed outcome deliberately. There may be other possibilities too.

Whether 1 or 2 applies, the customer is 'nudged' to contact VM but, rather than just accept a ready-made offer, the customer then has to engage with a VM sales agent and the sales agent is given an opportunity to upsell some more services at the time of renewal.

You could also consider looking around for prices with other providers since VM has failed to provide you with a renewal offer. This will give you some useful comparisons should you decide to get in contact with VM.

  • Hello poddles4,

Thanks for letting us know and for providing a screenshot. That doesn’t sound right, sometimes these things can be a temporary slip-up on the system!

Have you tried accessing the offer through the My Virgin Media app as well, if you have it? Also, how many times have you tried refreshing the page? It might be worth refreshing and checking again tomorrow in the event it is just a confusion on the system.

If it still doesn’t work, let us know and we’ll make sure you get the help you need! 😀
