Renewal of Volt after 18 months

I have the (see below)

Your package (13th November-12th December)

Ultimate Volt bundle

This includes

  •  Talk More Anytime

  •  Sky Sports HD Pack

  •  Sky Sports and Cinema Collection

  •  Virgin TV V6 Box, Powered By TiVo

  •  Maxit TV

  •  Sky Entertainment & Cinema Ultra HD

  •  Netflix Standard

  •  Volt M600 Fibre Broadband

  •  1 Additional TV Box

  •  Telephone Line Rental

  •  Kids Pick

I started negotiations today as out of contract price went up to £157 from £104 plus the £29 for O2

I went on live chat and agreed a new deal with an agent for the same package at £98 plus the O2 charge of £29

I received the contracts and confirmed acceptance.

The agent then had an issue at his end (3 hours this had taken on live chat) and the live chat folded so i lost contact with the agent.

I have just received an email saying I am going to be charged £172 per month for my existing package.

So back to square one , can anyone help or advise what I should done. ( I have copies of the £98 agreement with no change to services. I kept asking him if I retained TNT) plus the O2 cost.

Help, this is so stressful dealing withe Virgin, probably try retentions tommorrow and waste another day

If you are still in your cooling off period (14 days from the new agreement) I'd ring up and have round 2 with them or give them your 14 days cooling off period notice. I've just been in the same negotiation (Ultimate Volt to Mega TV + Addons) and managed to achieve a much better price... £68 + the O2 sim card on top. I also rang O2 and managed to negotiate that down from £32 back to £25. - See my thread here - https://community.virginmedia.com/t5/Managing-Your-Account-Cable/Virgin-Media-Policies-Make-No-Sense/td-p/5445773

Yes I have a very similar deal to that. On the O2 sim I am paying much less , go onto their app , should give you upgrade offers , they will not all be increases , should be deals there for less than you are paying , you do not have to be at the end of contract to accept them , just starts a new 24 month contract but can can probably halve what you are paying now..
