Renewal Issue

Hi All, I was contacted today by VM to renew my contract as it was the start of the 30 day cancellation period, my contract ends 5th June. I agreed an acceptable renewal price based on (as per the recorded conversation - no fee's or hidden or upfront costs). During the renewal I chose to remove TNT sports as this is not needed and helped to reduce the new monthly fee. Inside the portal I can see my contract now shows a change date of today and 1 month remaining with an initial monthly service charge of £216.28???

VM contacted me to renew and stated no fee's for renewing, yet it seems there is some form of early termination fee being applied? If this is the case I will simply cancel the renewal as I have 14 days to do so and will move to Sky or BT, it's unbelievable to think I'm going to be charged extortionate cost to stay with VM as part of your renewal invitation? Hopeful'y I'm reading this wrong and someone can help clarify?

My billing period is 11th of each month, hence I'd already paid in advance for end of April - end of May and my contract is due to expire 5th June, hence today being the 30 days notice if I choose to cancel.

Please help me to understand, maybe I misunderstood.
