Renewal Invite email - page not working !!!

I've received an email inviting me to renew/recontract for 'a little extra' a month - sounds interesting - however when I click on the link, either from my phone or laptop, with different browsers, all I can get is 'Oops Something's gone wrong' and 'Can't find the page' - so the link doesn't work...   Only gives me a few days in which to respond but when I try I just get messed around.

See screenshot below

Can a forum rep look into this/advise if and when it's fixed and can VM contact me with whatever this offer is please - thanks

  • Hi G0akc ๐Ÿ‘‹ welcome back to the forum!

Sorry to hear that the renewal invitation link did not work for you!

Sadly we are limited with what support we can provide for this, as there has been no offer generated, or contract documents sent to you which we could match if this was needed.

It may be that the link is not working as the offer is no longer available - sincerest apologies about this!

Generally we don't offer support with package changes via the community forum as these are best done in real time. If you would like the team to offer some support looking into currently available packages, and offers you can do so via ๐Ÿ“žCall: 150 (free of charge) from a Virgin Media landline or 0345 454 1111 from any other phone or ๐Ÿ“ฒWhatsApp: +44 7305 327 112.

Let us know if there is anything else you need our support with.

Wishing you all the best. ๐ŸŒž

"It may be that the link is not working as the offer is no longer available - sincerest apologies about this! "

Why would the offer not be available - it shows it is valid to the 7th of February (so for a few more days) and the email only arrived yesterday - see the image from the email sent by VM below

I see this as yet another customer service failing from VM - if you send out marketing communications do at least make sure they work properly!

I've now received several of this type of email from VM urging me to recontract.  None of the links work and all give 'Oops Somethings gone wrong' error messages.

Is there are any way of stopping such apart from unsubscribing/blocking them?  Pointless receiving such/VM sending stuff that doesn't work!

Thanks for posting, and sorry to hear there's an issue with the email offer.

So I can get a few more details from you, I've popped you over a private message.

    PM reply sent Alex

I've just spoken to an agent - but renewal prices are far too high especially with no TNT Sports (have to pay even more for the add on)

I asked to leave at the end of the current contract period but now been told I have to call back again when it is down to the 30 days......
