Registered but account won't link

I have had numerous problems with registering and signing in to my virgin media today has been the first time it has taken me to the registering account which I have done it has asked me to input my customer account number to link my account. However it comes up with a message that says 'customer not found' can you please advise? This issue has been ongoing since I had virgin installed on the 9th august its ridiculous
