Refer a friend

Hi, I refered a friend who had their broadband installed on 3rd Nov 2024, neither of us have received our reward yet. I’ve contacted Aklamio and they say that they haven’t received anything from Virgin Media yet, my Aklamio account balance shows as £0. It is over 15 weeks now since my friends installation, can someone please tell me why we haven’t received our rewards yet?

    You may be lucky, but if this follows the way often reported on here, Aklamio will refer you to VM and VM will send you straight back to Aklamio.  Each will say that it's the other's responsibility, or that you didn't follow some trivial procedure that you weren't aware of.

    But let's hope that you have more success and a VM person will pick up your request and sort it for you.

    Further info, both me and my friend received an email from VM some 3 weeks after their installation,(23rd Nov) saying “we haven’t forgotten you” your reward is pending, that was 3 months ago, long enough for VM to establish that my friend was not about to take the money and run and start the billing cycles, why should it take this long, my friend is getting seriously cheesed off with this delay. I dont suppose someone from VM would like to chase this up? Getting a phone number or email address to chase it up myself is a nightmare !

    Well, problem solved, within 2 days of leaving this message, I and my friend got confirmation that the payment was on its way and into bank account 3 days after that. Thankfully someone from VM must have picked this up and dealt with it.
