When I received my hub 5 the paperwork did not mention returning hub 3 and I assumed it had to be taken to my local recycling centre which I did - now virgin are asking for it back - the instructions now refer to hub 3 which wasn’t the case a month ago ?

Something to do with their resposibility for recycling their equipment, maybe, rather than leave it to the customer?
true it was not there when I checked in June . Now it’s there !! There is not even a picture of it
