Just received the same email regarding Virgin wanting my faulty SuperHub returned back to them. When I took delivery of my new hub I was informed via email (which I deleted) to recycle it (which I did) now a month later I’m getting this email ??

There are many posts here from the VM Mods advising people to dispose of the Hub 3's. Maybe a quick search should turn some up. For example Solved: Return Kit not arriving - Virgin Media Community - 5311065

From other posts it seems that VM has finally recognised the legal requipment to collect all their electronic equipment and not just the items they might re-use.
It remains to be seen how efficiently they go about the change.

Not sure how that helps those of us who have already disposed of the kit though!

This feels like a mass-send e-mail campaign / request. I've just received the same mail too! A couple of months ago Virgin Media upgraded my broadband but needed to provide a newer hub as I was using a (really) old white Hub3 which apparently couldn't handle 1GB speeds. No complaints from me! They sent me the hub and int eh box there was also a request to return the old equipment - a standard printed leaflet - which directed me to a Virgin website to get more details. I went online and it looked like my hub was too old for them to take back (the white Hub3 isn't even in the site) so I followed their advice to recycle it locally, which I did. And now I'm getting chased up. Either Virgin should make their returns requirements MUCH clearer or accept that old equipment may not be returned to them.
