Problems with renewal

I've been a Virgin Media customer for many years. My package is up for renewal, but the offer I was given was over 50% higher, which I said I wasn't happy with, so the customer service agent went and cancelled my contract.

I've since had a message from a loyalty agent with a better offer, but when I call back, I was told differently and that my price would be going up by almost 50% and there was nothing else that can be done.

I feel really frustrated, especially as I've been a customer for 6+ years. What can I do?

  • With VM it's no good saying you will think about it and call them back. The offers are of the moment. Know your price envelope and keep calling on different days. Offers will vary. The brave don't make any calls and play poker with the cancellation banking on the best retention calls coming in the two days prior to disconnection.

  • Hi mxo1,

Thanks for taking the time to contact us via the Community. It's lovely having you on board with us in the Forums. ⭐

We're sorry to hear you've been left unhappy with the renewal offers given. These can change depending on availability. We're always happy to review your package and cost though. This is something we can certainly check for you but in order to do that I'll need to confirm some information with you to pass security.

I've sent you a direct message to allow us to do this with you in a private space. Just click on the little ✉ at the top right-hand side of the page to access your inbox. :)

    Many thanks,
