No reported problems in area, but......

Good morning, folks, sorry to start my first interaction on here with a request, but can I ask, at the moment I have a very intermittent broadband connection, not so much speed but quality of the connection, continual drop outs etc. In turn that is affecting the TV connection with continual "channel not available" and very slow interaction with the 360 services and no dialling tone on my land line.

I have raised the issue by ringing Virgin Media support, both broadband and tv support and the "second line team" who assured me that there is an outage in Liverpool L9 area affecting all what I have mentioned above and it will be fixed within 8 to 24 hours, but I cannot find any mention of any outage in my area. I am not saying for one moment they were anything other than sincere in their attempt in helping me with my multiple issues, but could anyone please get in touch regarding these problems in case it needs to be escalated to one or more engineer visits to my home.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.
Cheers

    Hi Baz0_M

Have you used the /check-services/   function to check for problems in your area? You can also a run a test on your equipment from there.

If nothing is showing  you could also try the automated Service Status number  0800 561 0061.  This often gives details of more local issues down to postcode level.

  • Hi, thanks for replying, yes I have tried both those  methods of checking if there is any outages or reported issues. I do have my land line back up and running which is a start and I did receive a text from VM stating that he network issue had been fixed. BUT I still have a poor, sometimes pixelating tv service and my broadband still isn't at its best with long page load times etc.

Again thanks for taking the time to reply.

      Hi Baz0_M

Thanks for your post, welcome to the Community Forums. Sorry to hear you've been having trouble with your services.

I've had a look on our side and can confirm that you were recently affected by an area outage, but this appears to have now been resolved.

Whilst most outages will be reported via the service status page, not all faults will be for various reasons, such as how many customers are affected and the type of fault it is.

How're things this morning? If you're still having issues, please let us know and we can help further.
