New XGS customer. CS has left me confused regarding TV options?

Hello,

I am a new XGS customer (Nexfibre went live here last week) currently waiting for my installation on the 16th of October (1.13 Gb Volt package). I wanted to check into the options available for TV and phone and so I asked customer services.

From the website, I can put in my address and I'm able to choose the Mega Volt TV package.

However, I was just told by customer services that this isn't available in my area and is only available for customers on the older DOCSIS network.

From what I was told, the Stream service sounds infinitely worse with a very short list of channels, so I've come here in hope of some clarification as to what channels I could have access to, as I was told that the Discovery and comedy channels were unavailable through Stream?

I don't care for Sky Sports, Sky Cinema or TNT, but I was hoping I could get the standard channels, plus all of the Discovery channels, comedy channels (e.g., Gold UK) and potentially kids channels (e.g., Boomerang; Nickelodeon)?

The £5/mo extra doesn't sound at all worth it if it doesn't offer much beyond FTA channels that my smart TV can already do.

Thank you in advance.

      Hi Alex,

Thank you for the link. It would appear that CS was incorrect based on the information provided on that page?

I spoke with the field sales representative that helped me with my order when he visited and he explained that I can get the channels I want with the £15/mo entertainment add-on for Stream. He has added it on for me.

      Regards,

Please note a landline phone is not available in XGS-PON locations. You need to use one of the VoIP providers. Do a search on the board for more information.
