New 360 box, now no service at all.

Got my new 360 box the other day (as recommended by VM) after just unplugging the old TiVo box and plugging the new stuff in, error codes appeared on the new box and now I have no internet connection either. 
a million chat bot/agent conversations later I now have an engineer booked. 
Everything was working perfectly fine before btw. 

The other query is during most of this, various VM sessions would say it didnt recognise or find my account? And also when I requested my new 360 box I also renewed my contract? Could this be part of the issue?

    We're very sorry to hear about the issue with your Tv services. 

    We're sure the technician will be able to assist with getting this resolved.
