I have just renewed my package with Virgin who stated Choose this deal and keep your current Virgin Media plan without losing anything. I just received an email saying my Netflix standard is changing to Netflix standard with ads. Why has this happened

Sorry to hear of the issue with the Netflix services being downgraded from Netflix Standard to Standard with Ads.
We would need to advise that we can no longer issue anything beyond the lowest tier of Netflix's service inclusive of a Virgin Media package.
However, I'd be willing to look into this for you, to ensure that any offer to honour a renewal without a downgrading of this service is fulfilled.
