Moving house: install at different address?

I’m still in contract and want to work out if I can move my services to a different address when I move. My new address is also in contract so I was hoping to gift the remainder of mine to my sister, but don’t know if this is possible. Anyone have any experience of this please?

  • Thanks for reaching out to us justandy, and welcome back to our Community Forums!

We would need to advise that if you were to be moving the services to a new address, the contract would carry over for the remaining months of the minimum agreement.

However, if the address you're moving to already has services installed, this would result in early disconnection fees being apparent.

Gifting the account to a third party isn't possible as this would represent a change in ownership of the services, which is an option we don't provide at Virgin Media.

    Thanks,

Thanks for replying. I maybe confused matters by saying ‘gifting’; basically I want to know if the installation address has to be the same as the billing address

        Hi justandy,

Thanks for coming back and explaining things further. As long as the account is remaining in your name then the team will be able to help process the house move for you. We can absolutely have a separate billing address, just be sure to let the team know so they can update this on the account.

Let us know if you have any further queries or questions.

        Thanks,
