Missing Omnibox cover

Hello.

We have just moved into a property and the omnibus has no cover and the cables running to and from it are in disarray.

Can someone come round to fix, tidy, and sort out?

If you are a VM customer a VM person should reply here within a few days to help. If you are not a VM customer, VM does not usually work on unused cables unless there is a H&S issue.

You should consider editing your post to remove your personal info from the public forum.

Thanks. I tried all afternoon to speak to a human via VM help but failed. So hopefully this helps. Thanks for removing the address, if that was you...

  • Hi jonajackso123

    Welcome to the Community Forums.

Sorry to hear about the cabling concerns at your new home. Just to confirm, are you currently a Virgin Media customer, and are you the leaseholder or freeholder of the property?

  • Hello. Jesús was fantastic. Really good manner. Professional and went the extra mile to provide a good service.

However, I've since realised we didn't check the box on the inside of the house where the cable comes in. Is it worth checking this?

It also looks a bit dated and I'm wondering if there are better covers now? Is it possible to replace this also, or no need?

    Thanks.

Thanks for that feedback jonajackso123. We'll be sure to pass this along.

Internal wiring would be different to the appointment just attended. Our faceplates tend to have a logo on it, either NTLword, TeleWest or Virgin Media, but could well be ours. Please reach back out to my colleague over your already open private message and you have service concerns with this cabling. We might be able to rewire that cable which looks to have lost its protective coating and tidy this up, but might not be able to change the faceplate itself.
