Leaving Virgin then hit with Late Payment
Hi All
Having decided to leave virgin,I find that virgin's handling of final billing is appalling'
I indicated to them that I was leaving with 2 months remaining on my contract and was told
I had to pay my normal £24 a month payment then an early disconnection fee of £22.12 which is fair enough,
As I pay monthly by direct debit on 21st of the month (circa) virgin deliberately decided to take payment 4 days later
and hence incurring late payment charge of £7.50 added on to my final bill for early disconnection fee which now totals £29.12.
I contacted customer services about my complaint and operator said it was their fault entirely it would be sorted and I won't be paying additional charge,
What happened next is they then sent me a bill for the exact same amount of £29.12.
I thought this was a one off incident but I then found that a lot of customers have encountered this experience when leaving virgin, this is an ongoing issue and that no steps have been taken to rectify this.
