Late Payment Letter Received for Already-Paid Bill

I just received a late payment letter for the following bill, which was a termination fee bill:

Here is the letter in question, received today (over a week later):

(as an aside, I find it interesting that it still uses the phrasing "you'll need to take immediate action to avoid your service being restricted" despite being a bill for termination of said-service.)

Anyway, I need assurance that I am okay to ignore this letter.

Thank you.

I'd advise you to keep a check on your account with the credit reference agencies. VM are very quick to give you a black mark.

    Hi burner8244

It's safe to ignore the letter.  Your account shows the sum of £313.28 was paid on April 29th.

The late payment letter is dated 28th April.

It was therefore created and posted the day before you made your payment (29th April)

  • Hi burner8244,

Thanks for taking the time to contact us via the Community. It's lovely having you on board with us in the Forums. ⭐

We're sorry to hear you've received a letter suggesting there is still an outstanding balance. These letters are usually generated by the system so it's likely it was generated before the payment registered on the account.

For now, you may ignore this. If you get any further letters though, pop back and let us know.

    Many thanks,
