How do I find account number if I can't view my bill?

I'm trying to log into my Virgin Media account but keep being told I have to link it to my O2 ID (I don't use O2), I've followed the links and reached a page which now wants my account number and very helpfully suggests I can find it on my bills. I don't get paper bills and can't view them online until I've signed in, I can't sign in until I've seen the bill, I can't see the bill until I've signed in......and on and on and on

    Yes, that's quite a loop ...  As an aside though, even though you need a VMO2ID, when setting it up you can skip the O2 part.  I don't have O2 either, so have already done this bit.

    Sorry to hear you're having an issue setting up your online account.
    I'd like to investigate this for you and see if we can send out a copy bill by email.

    If you can check the envelope at the top right of your screen, that would be great.
