I got this email from Virgin today:We wanted to let you know that we’re making a change to the way we provide TNT Sports channels in order to continue to provide the best value entertainment packages for our customers. We’ve noticed that you haven’t viewed these channels in the last 6 months, and therefore we’re removing automatic access to them from 30th June 2024. Don’t worry, nothing else is changing. If you wish to re-activate TNT Sports, you can click here for more information.It does appear to be genuine but wth, they're saying they'll remove some channels and not reduce the price of my package. Why would anyone agree to that? Just like I haven't watched any of the shopping channels. Does this mean I then have to click through every channel every so often? What nonsense.

Yeah last time I was at the local Indian I was having a chat over a plate of biriani when, out of the blue, the plate was whipped away from under my nose and I received a penned note from a waiter on a napkin saying "We wanted to let you know that we’re making a change to the way we provide plates of biriani in order to continue to provide the best value menu packages for our customers. If you wish to re-activate access to your plate of biriani, you can click here for more information."If you have a look at the forum pages there is a serious state of flux between Virgin Media and TNT Sport. This sounds like a new chapter in that contractual drama.

Also had this email and I regularly watch TNT. Utter joke.

So if you don't view TNT for more than 6 months, VM will unsubscribe you from TNT and tell TNT you're not a subcriber anymore yet they will continue to charge you for it so they can reap 100% of the revenue?Amazing moneymilking tactic! Whoever came up with this mechanism must be a true shyster.

Live TV channels are multicast to every premise and choosing which channels to view, done by pressing buttons on the remote, is activated by the box. So far, so good. But if VM knows which channels you've viewed - or not viewed - must mean that the box has gathered data for at least six months and sent it to VM. I've just reread VM's terms and conditions and there is no reference to obtaining data on our viewing habits. I'm not happy at this situation at all.

My issue here is that I’ve been watching TNT Sports channels regularly during the last 6 months. So is this a) a fishing exercise by VM telling lies to scare their customers into confirming their desire to keep TBT, b) a mistake in who got sent this email, or c) they’re using inaccurate data on what I’m watching?

  So much for fix in 48 hours, looks like i will be lucky to have it fixed by next weekend, another Moto GP missed, what a mess VM !

Hi All,
Recently upgraded from V6 to 360.
I’ve seen other people say they’re missing TNT sports but it’s still showing on my Maxit package of channels on myvirginmedia is this an error or does anyone know how to sort it?

  My access to TNT channels was removed, despite watching them regularly, and I completed the form to get them re-enabled. VM have now sent through an updated contract changing my monthly payment from £92 to £160!

    This sounds like your discounts could of come to and end as this is a big jump, normally TNT sports would only be £18 add on not double the amount of your bill.
    
    Also could a bill payment of been missed / still pending?

Personally I think VM should give people who don't want TNT sports a discount but knowing VM it will be something like 50p
Ps I wonder how much VM is paying TNT sports for each customer on the maxit package
