Free tv offer

has anyone received their free gift of a tv? My install date was the 11th July and I received an email stating that I would receive my free tv within 55 days. As today is the 55th day and I have not heard anything about delivery I contacted customer support using the online chat 5 days ago. I was told I would receive my tv by today. However he did say it was possible that it would take a further 72 hours so I should definitely have heard of them to arrange the delivery before now. I haven’t heard a thing. I chose to take out the contract with virgin media due to the free tv offer. Has anyone else had a the same problem?

  • I contacted customer support on Friday and they have escalated it to the relevant team and I should hear from them within 72 hours. They said that I will need to give it until the end of Monday and then call them back if I have not heard from them.

      This sounds familiar. 

      The CS staff will know nothing about the offer and just put you off for another 48 or 72 hours. 

      Eventually they will tell you to go to a "partner" who will send you straight back to Virginmedia. 

      If the TV is part of your contract with Virginmedia /VM02, it is their responsibility to provide you with the TV.  I hope you have copies of the contract that makes this clear.

        Thank you I will check my contract now. I did receive an email the day of activation. Which says as part of my package I will receive my gift within 55 days. I take it you had the same problem. Did you ever get it sorted?

  • In the exact same boat. Installed on 1st August. Signed up with the free Hisense TV or £200 Credit. Have email saying it can be up to 55 days after installation but not heard a thing other than the initial email confirming this.

      My email was 11th August stating 55 days, I’m currently in a PM chat with one of the forum team as th 55 days was Sunday just gone. I’ll let you know what they come back with
