Free TNT Sports offer - Eurosport being removed

Hi

I received an email saying due to the fact we watch Eurosport and it is being deactivated end Feb, we can get TNT Sports for free (charged for but credited by Virgin) for the remainder of our contract.

I have the V6 box and couldn't do the add-on on the box (as per the email instructions). I can however do it in the Virgin Media App.

My questions:

  • Should I upgrade to V360 box and then try the TNT add-on OR
  • Add the TNT add-on via my App?

If so, will the credit actually be applied, as when I rang Virgin they had no idea what I was talking about!

Is there a way to email someone or share a screenshot of the offer email so it can be all sorted without me being charged £18 extra a month. Ideally I don't want to upgrade to V360 just to get this, if there is a simpler way.

Has anyone successfully done this and how?

Thanks

Jamie

  • Seems the Virgin retention team are up to speed as they have added TNT and said the credit will appear within 72 hours.

    Let's see if this works!

There is absolutely no need to migrate to the Horizon V360 platform just to subscribe to additional TV channels. They are available on both platforms, both of which are TOTALLY different to each other.

Again this seems another sneaky back door way to migrate customers to the new platform, while wanting to do something completely unrelated to it. These changes are in-contract, so should not involve a change to the TV platform in order to add the channels.

  • I’m confused. 7 months to go on my contract. Took up the reportedly free TNT sports offer today doing exactly as it said in Virgin Media’s email, within the 30 day period quoted. Immediately my monthly contract cost has been increased. Can’t get 150 to work. Hours spent on the web link being passed from one operator to another but achieving nothing. Can anyone suggest how I request that Virgin review charging me extra please?

      Hello Boxer3.

Thanks for your first post and welcome to our community.
Sorry to hear you're having an issue with TNT Sports and the increase in your contract.
The associated TNT Sports discount can take a few days to get applied. However, I'd like to take a look at this for you anyway.
If you don't mind, I'll need to send you a private message to pass security.
If you can check the envelope at the top right of your screen, that would be great.

        Gareth,

Thank you. Impressive response, resolving my concern. I am most grateful.

  • Is this free offer supposed to be for all Virgin customers? I’ve received an email offering TNT Sports for an additional £12 per month for 12 months, but that’s it.

  • In the same boat. Received offer for free TNT as a regular Eurosport viewer, but process didn't work and now being charged extra £12. Just can't speak to people to resolve. Disappointed, but having now seen this community page, hope VM will resolve.

    On our wavelength

I watch just about every cycling event on Eurosport, yet I've not been offered the new TNT channel.  Can ANYONE get that offer, or am I going to be looking at an extra £18 per month?
