Free gifts with RAF

Quick question.

New customers can get a free 43" TV when signing up to VM on selected bundles, but do they also receive the gift of they've been referred through the RAF (refer a friend) scheme to also receive the £50 as well?

Tia

  • Hi there TomRedwood

Thank you so much for your post and welcome to the community forums, it's great to have you here.

The refer a friend credit would be honoured if it was applied for correctly, the refer a friend reference code would need to be inputted at the point of sale. We do not handle the credit ourselves it is the team at Aklamio. I cannot see anything in the terms and conditions online here that states this cannot be used in conjunction with another offer, but you can reach out directly to the team to check this further via email to virgin-media@aklamio.com

      Hi TomRedwood

According to The Legal Stuff on the /virginmedia.com/broadband/packages page

Hisense TV or £200 bill credit:

      • This offer is available to new Virgin Media customers ordering the Bigger Combo bundle + Movies, Bigger Combo bundle + Sports HD, Biggest TV bundle (including Volt variants) or the Mega Volt bundle online.
      • The bundle needs to be ordered between 12 August and 11.59pm on 18 August 2024.
      • This offer can’t be used with another offer.
      • A household can only claim 1 TV or 1 bill credit amount.
      • We can remove this offer at any time.
      • Prices may change during your contract.
      • We can’t offer cash or anything else in place of this offer.
      • You won’t be able to keep your TV or bill credit if:
      • You cancel your services before they’re installed or before the end of your 14-day cancellation period.
      • You downgrade your bundle before your services are installed or before the end of your 14-day cancellation period.
  • Hello Tom,

Did a friend really refer you? I’m so surprised that anyone would recommend such an awful company. Their customer service is non-existent and you can only speak to someone if they’re going to get money from you. Their complaints procedure routes to nowhere and I would recommend you go with anyone other than Virgin Media. Have a look at the rest of the messages in this forum and search online for reviews to see how bad they are. They’re currently being investigated by Ofcom for making it difficult for people to leave.

    Good luck.
