Email account not deleted 6 months after leaving

I left Virgin Media more than 6 months ago and was told that my email account would automatically be deleted 3 months later. I kept monitoring it, because some friends would sometimes accidentally use it, and as the email was still active, they would not get a “bounce back” message. It is still active 6 month later! I got in touch with Virgin Media via chat 4 weeks ago and raised this. I was promised it would be dealt with by the back office. Nothing happened. Is somebody monitoring this and can help?

    Thanks for posting in regards to your email mailbox and its deletion, we understand the concern and appreciate you taking the time to raise this via the forums. Welcome to the community.

     

    As advised, once Virgin Media services are disconnected the email address should be deleted within 90 days but it is possible for it to remain open longer. I will send you a Private Message, please keep an eye out in the top right when signed into the forums for the envelope. This is where you will be able to find my Private Message and be able to respond.
