Damaged redundant wire, and non-redundant Coax

Hi,

I had a couple of guys from the Kelly Group, come out this morning, they ran a cable from the street into an existing VM box on the outside of the house. So my Broadband and TV is now up and running. However, they've left a couple of wires, which must have been in the box from before, trailing.

One of the wires looks damaged and possibly redundant.  The other looks like a coax cable, and it looks like it's from the internal junction box from my upstairs bedroom.  I don't think that this latter cable is redundant. If it's not, I would ideally like it wired in, should I ever want to get VM in my bedroom.

Could an engineer possibly come out to have a look at this please, to get rid of what's not needed, and to retain what is?
