Credit where it's due

Credit where it is due.  I’ve just completed negotiating a new package with VM.  As a fairly frequent visitor to the forum I had geared my self up ready for an unpleasant haggling conversation resulting in an over-priced package.

I take it all back.  I went through the WhatsApp messaging route, took a while to talk to an agent but the end result was worth it.  Got the package I wanted at a reasonable price.

The agent’s name was John, he was friendly, clear and efficient.

Thank you Virgin Media.

Good for you. The usual reason for a good deal is that VM's checks showed you have a fast alternative supplier in your area.

      On our wavelength

Well it didn’t work for me. I now have full fibre and in the month leading up to my 30 days notice period I tried 3 times to get a good renewal. On each attempt I told them I could get full fibre for cheaper but it didn’t sway. I tried one last time just within my 30 day period to no avail so I cancelled. I did get the retention call a week before moving over and to be fair it was a good offer but as far as I was concerned I had had enough. I had made arrangements for the fibre install, it was too much too late. They had every opportunity.
