Credit on account but direct debit taken anyway

Hi, I had £35 credit added to my account last week due to a loss of service and I called Virgin media up because they still hadn't added this to my account, the guy said it had now been done and that the credit would be used for my next 2 bills. This has not happened, they have charged me this morning and now I'm in a panic because it has left me way short for other bills. I've just checked my account and the credit is there but it clearly shows they have taken the DD instead. I'm really struggling money wise and need that payment back and for the credit to be used instead! Has anyone else experienced this and how did you get the money back? Do I wait it out and hope they refund me or do I have to chase them? Thanks

  • Hey Alsoran931, thank you for reaching out and we are sorry to hear about your credit.

    Sometime if we add a credit after the bill has been taken it may to late for this credit to be applied for this bill. 

    However the credit will be applied to future bills.
