complaint

Hi Virgin Media,

im proper sick to death. I just want to speak to someone, on the phone, not on webchat.

I recently switched to Virgin Media, bought myself out of my contract with EE under the promise that I was given £150 credit towards this. After receiving my first bill this wasn't reflected. I have gone through you webchat and complained which I was given £50 and told that the promotion i signed up under never existed. Fair enough if your door to door agents are just offering people things that dont exist to get their little commission but when I googled it there's a reddit thread where someone has mentioned this offer. I still would like to speak to someone, on the phone.

When I call the customer service number it asks my to say my password, which I dont recall ever setting up.

Please can you advise the best way to go about actually speaking to someone

I don't think anyone here can point to an offer by VM ever, to buy out someone's contract with another ISP.

The salesman is clearly doing a good job for VM, just not a good one for customers.

Yes, likelihood is that the door-to-door agent has long since left VM’s employ and they have no means of contacting him or her, so it’s the OP’s word against.....

So to the OP, you have neem royally ripped off, and I don’t think there is any way of getting it resolved or compensated. Now the only thing you can do is to pass on your experience to everyone you know and advise to never engage with VM. And, naturally bear that is in mid when the time comes to renew your contract or go elsewhere.

    Hi liamcalorum

The password they are requesting is the telephone password, also known as the Memorable word.

Please see my post Here showing how to change your telephone password.

If you are in the UK and wanting to phone then I suggest speaking to retentions (thinking of leaving) by selecting options 1,1, 4 and 4 when dialing 150 from a VM landline, or 0345 454 1111 from any other phone.

        Hello liammcalorum,

Welcome to the Community, and thanks for taking the time to post here on the forums. I’m sorry to hear of the issues that you’re experiencing with your account since transferring over from EE. I'd be happy to take a further look into this for you; however, I would need to confirm a few details via private message. Please look out for my message, and we can get started.
        Kind Regards,
        Steven_L
