Charged For Equipment! Not had Virgin for 2 Years!!!

I have not been with Virgin for over 2 years but the owners of my old property have received hardware from Virgin (new router etc) but are now being told to pay a £40 charge! 

I have already called Virgin up about this in recent weeks and was told there is no active account and no bills need to be paid.

The owners of the property I lived at are furious, as am I, as I went through the proper channels to cancel Virgin over 2 years ago, yet I'm still getting all this hassle, it is unbelievable but then again, this is Virgin so to an extent, believable!

I want IMMEDIATE action on this!...

    Sorry to hear of your concerns with this charge.

    What you've advised is somewhat confusing.  You have advised that you haven't lived at the property for 2 years, but the current owners have received equipment and have been told to pay £40. The information would have gone to the occupants/account holder of this address, so we're just confused as to why you are raising this with us here, as you're neither the account holder nor the homeowner and how this information relates to you? At no point do we ask new customers to pay for the charges on another customer's account from the same address. 

     

    Should the owners/account holders of your old address need to speak with us regarding a charge, they will need to speak to us directly from any method listed here

      There is no live account! -  That's the problem. The previous address is now occupied by family, that's how I know about all of this and of don't have virgin and never have. I did have virgin at the previous address but cancelled that 2 years ago, prior to moving, yet the previous address is still getting hardware and these threatening letters saying a charge is required, it's rediculous!

      I tried to deal with this over the phone a week or two back and was advised there is NO charge to pay and NO active account, as there hasn't been an active account at the previous address in 2 years since I cancelled my account before leaving the property, yet another letter has come through, which I have here. 

      I, nor my family will be forced into paying any bills for equipment sent to a property that doesn't even have a virgin account associated with it and never has done for 2 years!

      Sort this out!
