Changing sign-in email address does not work

Hi upon trying to change the sign in email address to my family's account we're unable to do so as it asks the user to click onto a verification email link that virgin media has sent. Problem is this email never sends, I've looked into this issue just to see if it was just me experiencing this dilemma, but it looks like its wide spread.

 

Therefore please may I have some assistance in handling this?

    Please ignore, took some time but managed to receive the email after 40 mins
