Changing account holder

Hi there. I'm moving out of my rented flat and looking to transfer the account associated with the flat to my current flatmate, who is staying put. How do I go about this? Thanks

I don’t think you can transfer accounts like this. You have to terminate the contract and probably pay a fee unless you take the account to a new residence. If your new residence is not served by VM there is no termination fee. In any case your old flatmate could start a new VM contract which would probably be much cheaper than the current one.

  • Hi tomwebby thanks for posting and welcome to our community.

Tudor has advised you correctly. We haven't offered a standard transfer of responsibility for some time now. You would need to cancel your existing account and the flatmate would need to sign up as a brand new customer if they wish to continue with our service. Please get back to us if you wish us to help you apply your notice to leave.
