Can't wait to leave

My contract expires on the 27th of October 24, thank god, and we now have full fibre in the street, thanks to CityFibre.

I shall be undertaking a new providor, who can supply 900mbps for just over £30, (currenty paying £45 for 250).

I just need to ask how much notice do i need to give VM,  and is a phone call to cancell ok?,   or is there a better method?.

    The quickest contact method is by calling either 150 from a VM landline or mobile, or 0345 454 1111 from any other phone, call around 8am if possible when lines first open and are least busy.

    You can also speak to the team on WhatsApp on 0780 3089 684 but this method can take 4 to 6 hours as phone calls take priority..

    Also, as indicated on that page, you can use good old snail mail.

    Write to Virgin Media, Sunderland, SR43 4AA, including your name, address and account number. Send it by registered (signed for) post.

  • i am doing the same, leaving virgin media on 9 September 

     i can get 900 mb from Vodafone for £31 a month  

    had 2 calls from virgin media retentions , they can't match that price

      Might be as well to record your call - since getting desperate for more money they have adopted a habit of denying cancellations have been notified in order to continue billing

        Sorry to hear you're planning to leave come the end of your current contract. The notice required is currently 30 days, if you're contract is due to expire on the 27th October 2024 we'd recommend contacting us around the 27th September (at the latest) for the 30 days to take you up to that date.
