Cannot login, email account no longer exists

When I first created my Virgin Media account over a decade ago I used an old email account with my previous provider, which no longer exists.

I am now unable to manage my account as Virgin attempts to send a verification email to an account that I can't access. 

Is there a way to change the linked email account to a current email address that exists?

    Thanks for posting and sorry to see you're having some issues with  logging in.

    For this particular issue, if the email no longer exists you'll need to call us on 150/ 0345 454 1111 for assistance so we can get it changed.

  • I did call and they told me they couldn't change the username, which was an old tesco.net email address, which is like a lot of other people on here having the same problem. We cannot link our Virgin account to O2 because we cannott access our old emails! It's not rocket science, but how long does this take to fix, been going on for nearly a week now.

    If you cannot mend this system, please revert to the old system whilst you fix this mess.

    A complaint to Ofcom I think if this is sorted in next few days.
