Bill increase after payment plan

Hi,

I signed up for M125 Fibre Broadband in September 2023 for £26.50 a month for 18 months.

On 7th May 2024, I entered into a payment plan as I was in arrears. I was informed once that payment plan ends I would go back to my previous monthly amount which for just the broadband should have been £26.50 plus annual RPI +3.9%.
Instead I was placed on £42.80 per month for just M125 broadband starting from 8th November 2024 when my payment plan ended.

Now I am being charged £54pm for M125 Broadband. I have no other services and this is the price for broadband only which is outrageous.

When will this be corrected? Someone help please.

  • Hi Marron6655,

Thank you for reaching out to us in our community and welcome back, it has been a while, we are sorry to hear your price for your Broadband only package has increased after finishing your payment plan.

When a new deal is added and it is at a discounted rate this would always be on a 18 moths contract, once the term ends any discounts would drop off and the price would increase, we do generally send an end of contract notification around 30 days before the contract is due to end.

If as you advised took the contract out in September 2023 then this would end in March 2025, this would also show on your contract which can be accessed Via your Online Account.

If your account is still in arrears it would be our collections team you would need to speak to.

    Regards

    Paul.

My 18 month contract hasn’t ended so why would the bill increase almost double?

Have you been able to check the bills to see if a promotional discount has expired? These don't always cover the full 18 months, you can check on previous bills here or via the emails sent with the bill itself.
