Advice on Broadband/Sports package

Hi

We’re just starting an extension and it’s got me thinking that I need to review my tv/broadband situation as I’ve just remained on the same package with VM for a very long time.

I’m trying to work out what the most cost effective and workable solution is and whether I should move to alternative providers (Sky or Now TV). I’m so out of touch that it’s confusing me!

Where I live the only fast broadband appears to be VM although there are slower options. We only really watch the standard BBC, ITV, C4 channels and Sky Sports but going forward will want to be able to watch the Sports on up to 3 TVs in the house.

I seem to be paying a lot of money each month at the moment, and that’s just for a single tv box. Looks as though one option might be to start a new package with Sky (good value for first 18 months) but my concern is their broadband offering looks very slow. Not sure if I can combine virgin broadband with Sky and have a multi room set up? Or maybe just remove my virgin tv package, retain the broadband, watch normal channels through Freeview and buy a Now TV subscription for the sports, assuming we can then watch it on multiple TVs.

Many thanks for any advice

Tim
