£50 Just Eat voucher reward is pointless

About a month ago, I signed up for the 12 month student broadband package which comes with a £50 Just Eat voucher.
Yesterday I went to check my university emails and found an email had come through from 3rd October but because of university email security system, it had taken 7 days to be marked as safe as an external email.

When trying to claim my voucher, it says ‘this event is full’, and despite contact with virgin over the phone and web chat, nothing could be done because they told me the voucher is only valid for one day and had expired despite only reaching my email address 2 days ago.

Not sure why they offer an award if there’s a one expiry and there was nothing I could find which states a one day expiry. Make sure not to bother going with this deal if there is any sort of system which filters out external email addresses and virgin support were not helpful and kept telling me to go between phone contact and web chat.

  • We’ve installed our broadband back in September and it’s November now but we haven’t received our Just Eat voucher. Any help with this? I’ve called Virgin and the guy doesn’t seem to know what it is. 

  • Haven't the same issue, I have not received mine either and no one is responding, any advice?

      To confirm has this been over 30 days since you was installed?

      Have you checked your spam and junk emails?

  • Hi, I bought the student broadband which was advertised as coming with a £50 JustEat voucher and had it installed 59 days ago. The advice I have seen says the voucher code should be emailed within 35 days of installation. I have checked my spam (I used my university email) multiple times but still nothing. Any help would be appreciated!

  • I have also not recieved the voucher, my package was installed on the 20th September so it has been significantly over the 45 days yet I have not recieved it, having checked both my spam email and main email from my university email.

  • I haven't received my voucher either. Checked my spam it's not there and it's been over 45 days since the purchase

  • Having a similar problem, signed up for and paid for a gig1 contract at the start of august, it is now the end of november and have not received any email about the voucher, checked my spam and searched for the exact sender adress in my uni and personal emails. Really annoying as it is a major part of why i chose virgin for this year. would appreciate some help with this
