It seems websafe has stopped working. I am able to access websites that I’ve blocked. Not using a VPN and have restarted my router.
This would suggest that Web Safe is working as intended.
Were the sites blocked via category or domain in Web Safe and are they still set as blocked?
Are you able to access VPN site https://protonvpn.com; by default Web Safe blocks access to VPN site?
Consider going to DNS leak test and running the Standard test. Is the ISP value reported as Virgin Media?
FYI: a device can only be protected by Web Safe if it is using Virgin Media's DNS

Kika021, is this issue occurring on an Apple device using iCloud Private Relay? If it is then consider temporality disabling it to confirm it is the cause of the issue, read more here About iCloud Private Relay - Apple Support
I have been having an issue as well with website. Is this fixed for you? It sums to be the same for any device in my home.
