Child safe not working

Child safe is switched on but has stopped blocking adult sites (it used to). I’ve seen previous posts suggesting going to the 1.1.1.1 site and checking AS Name value says Virgin Media and it does. Please help, I’ve got young, curious kids spending more time than usual on their screens over half term!

    Can anyone help? I’ve switched the router off and on with no improvement

      Thanks for posting and welcome to the community.

      Sorry to hear of this. Normally when you make a change and then reboot it should sort itself.

      Have you tried a PIN reset on the router?

      Also are the websites being accessed using incognito/private browsing/via a VPN?

        I’ve done a pin reset on the router and it’s made no difference. I’m not using private browsing (although previously it would block it on private browsing) and it’s still not working. Can someone help? I’ve got search restrictions on their devices but I want the backup of having it on the wifi too as we once did. Now when you put in ‘nude’ into google - something a naturally curious kid might do - the first results are pornhub and xvideos! 

  • Having same issue, Child Safe seems to be working in the User I terface, but in reality adult sites are still possible to be opened!

      Sorry to hear of the issues experienced with the Child Safe.

      Can you please confirm if you've been able to perform a reset on the hub and then attempted to set this up again?
