To get you over the hurdle whilst VM fix the issue, you can manually set the DNS on the device(s) to use Cloudflare Adult and Malware filters. Set the DNS to 1.1.1.3 and 1.0.0.3 manually. This will bypass the VM DNS servers until the issue is fixed.

They hardly ever fix this stuff quickly. It happens every Christmas as well - has happened to me again now. And they don’t tell you so your internet is unprotected without you knowing. I think the tech team update stuff at this time each year and wreck the settings on the web controls but they aren’t bothered enough to tell us or fix it quickly.

TBH, this is why I don't rely on the VM side of things, I use my own kit and run in modem mode. That way I have control over everything and the responsibility lies with me.

Virgin needs to fix this issue:

People should not need to mess around with DNS settings on their devices...
The service a customer pays for should work and if there is an issue/fault with it then it should be fixed.
