Text message reply Y or N

Hi,

I received a text message asking if I used my card for a payment, which I did, and asking to reply Y or N.

is this legit or a scam?

    Is it a security feature of your credit card company/bank?

    I have had similar in the distant past when making a purchase for an unusually large amount or in an unexpected location asking confirmation for the payment.

    Check with your credit card company/bank to see if they use such security measures.
