F-Secure - Advanced Security - Unlimited = 15 devices

I recieved offer email about Advanced Security from F-Secure and saw that for £30 per year I could have Advanced Security " "which protects an unlimited number of devices for just £3 per month (first three months free) or £30 a year" ... Dated 23rd July 2025.

I already have F-Secure via VM, but I noticed that I have 15 device license and none spare.

I contacted F-Secure who really don't know what Unlimited means...

I'm pretty sure this is illegal ... offer that is not fulfilled.

    Hi All, I am new to VM and I signed up to get the FSecure offer advertised at £3 a month or £30 for the year WITH three months free. It’s given me a month free, and the cost if I take up cover for ONE device is just over £50. Anyone know what the dealio is, and if it’s worth it. Or if I should just stay piggybacked on my sister’s provider while she has unlimited device and family cover for already. VM still wheeler dealer’ing in the world of entertaining packages and services I see. (I’m already missing Sky)

    As it isn't clear Ive just gone to renew on the F Secure page and at that point it does say "unlimited" devices rather than "15" although you have to select number of devices and choose "unlimited" although the price stays the same. That said if you also choose the VPN option as well it then its capped to "25" again you have to click on the number of devices as well which will give a drop down to choose "25" although the price doesn't change.

    Therefore in summary it does seem to be unlimited devices for the standard security package or "25" if you include a VPN. It doesn't seem to be the case for the free three month trial though and only when you pay.

    Its also cheaper at £56 if you pay for two years at once.

      From Amazon UK it is £80 for 5 devices for 1 year, the VM offer is a bargain.

      The day we own close on 25 computers at home will be a very deeply sad one.

    If all 15 F-Secure licence slots are used up their must a way to clear down the retired devices that no longer exist freeing up some licence slots for reuse.

    This is the final paragraph from the link above : 

    Virgin Media Advanced Security: New Virgin Media Advanced Security customers only. Registration required. One subscription per Virgin Media customer. Not available on BlackBerry. Unlimited devices, after the first 15 devices will need to be registered via F-Secure. £3 per month or annual subscription for £30 after trial period.

      Yes but I promise you that this won’t fly. If challenged in Court, VM will absolutely lose!

      You can’t make a promise (Unlimited devices, would seem to suggest just that) in the headline offer and then try to evade that in the small print buried (as I notice) after the adverts. 'Oh by the way when we say unlimited we mean 15, but we hope you don’t read this far.....'

      No that’s really not going to work.

    As you could imagine - I have raised an official complaint and will raise one with Trading Standards if not resolved as inaccurate offer.
