can you check if this website works or is blocked

I'm unable to load the webpage for my email provider mail fence whilst in my VM connection.I can get it to load if I use a VPN, ect.

I want to know if you can connect on your VM connection so I can have a better idea if the website is blocked by VM or if my IP is being blocked by my email provider...

Website its https://mailfence.com/

  • It's working fine here. I'm not using VM's web filter.

Have you tried bypassing VM's filtering by using an alternative DNS provider such as Cloudflare or Quad9?

For what it's worth, I can access Mailfence via my VM connection.

"or if my IP is being blocked by my email provider"

You can check to see if your VM IP address has got onto a blacklist here https://mxtoolbox.com/SuperTool.aspx

Click on the down arrow in the orange / gold box and select "Blacklist check".

    Then enter your IP address.

It should report that your VM IP address is on the Spamhaus ZEN list but that is nothing to worry about. You should see "ignore" to the right hand side of that line to confirm there is no issue.

https://mailfence.com/    works fine over VM internet for us too.

VM blocking normally comes in the form the DNS returning a false IP,
but sometimes it is a network routing fault that can be seen using:  tracert  mailfence.com

This is what the DNS response looks like when the correct IP is returned :

    C:\Users\Philip>nslookup mailfence.com
    Server: cache1.service.virginmedia.net
    Address: 194.168.4.100

    Non-authoritative answer:
    Name: mailfence.com
    Address: 217.182.28.160

With Essential Security on (aka Web Safe) there is no issue accessing mailfence.com. What are you seeing when access fails?
